Orek Tempe - Sauteed Tempeh

Tempe is a Javanese Indonesian food made from the fermentation of soybeans or several other ingredients that use several types of Rhizopus fungi, such as Rhizopus oligosporus, Rh. oryzae, Rh. stolonifera, or Rh. arrhizus.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 300-gram tempeh
  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper
  • 1/2 Green Bell Pepper
  • 1/2 Red onion
  • 1 cup Pineapple
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 1,5 tbsps Sesame Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Red Chilli Flakes
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Rice Vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsps Soy Sauce
  • 1,5 tbsps Raw Honey
  • 1 tbsp Corn Starch mixed with 2 tbsps Cold Water
METHODS: 

  • Step #1. Make Sauce, mixed 1/4 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup Rice Vinegar, 1/2 tbsps Soy Sauce, 1,5 tbsp Raw Honey 2 tbsps cold water. 1/4 cup water.
  • Step #2. Heat the pan, pour oil add red chili flakes, garlic, onion, red bell pepper & green bell pepper, stir all ingredients for about 2 minutes.
  • Step #3. Add Tempe for cooking, pour the sauce evenly keep stirring until all the spices are absorbed.
  • Step #4. Add Pineapple continuous to cooking until 3 minutes
  • Finish, Orek Tempeh-Sauteed Tempeh Ready to Eat.
