One Pot Bacon Spinach Alfredo Pasta

Bacon Spinach Pasta is a very simple pasta but a delicious piece of meal. This is another dish I tasted first when I was in Tokyo Japan. I liked it and I thought of recreating this dish. It is a great dish, hope you guys get to try out this recipe!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 Tbsp Oil
  • 8 Rashers Bacon
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 2 cups Spinach
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Pepper
  • 4 cups Milk
  • 350 gr, Penne
  • 50 gr Parmesan
  • Mushrooms
METHOD
  • Step #1. Thin slice Mushrooms
  • Step #2. Mince onions and garlic
  • Step #3. Slice Bacon in bite-size
  • Step #4. Cook pasta in boiling water with salt and cooking water (follow the instructions in the box on how long the pasta should be cooked), while cooking pasta, cook the bacon on a separate pan. Cook it lightly and keep the soft texture. 
  • Sep #5. Once cooked, set it aside on the same pan, add olive oil, and saute onion and garlic add the mushrooms and continue sauteing
  • Step #6. Add Oregano, Basil, and red pepper flakes (optional) Add back the bacon in the pan 
  • Step #7. Add the spinach, add white wine, salt and Pepper to taste continue to saute and add the pasta add Parmesan cheese
  • Toss and add the basil
  • Serve it!
